The International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) is an event participated in by students from more than 100 countries worldwide. The Jubilee 50th anniversary returns to the place where the Olympiad started in 1968. It is organised by UCT Prague. Our task was to design a logotype and the entire visual concept of the event.
We initially worked with the structural formula concept. When visiting the school laboratories, we however noticed that all the young chemists have one thing in common – distinct protective goggles. We have also tried to adopt this method. We rejuvenated the pictogram with coloured hairs that define the colourfulness of the materials.
